Galapagos trip April 12-19 2003

In April 2003 we flew via Miami to Guayaquil, Ecuador, and from there to the Galapagos on the M.S. Polaris, an 80 passenger ship operated by Linblad Expeditions. One of the advantages of these expeditions is the number of naturalists on board. This was a great experience for us, and these pictures only give a hint of diversity of the wildlife.

Pictures were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 950 (1600x1200 pixels original image size),a Nikon N6006 (using a Tamron AF 90-300 lens) and a Canon EOS Rebel G (using its Canon 35-80 lens) on Photoworks and Kodak speed 200 film, ; scanned to CD by the processor.

We have selected pictures from the trip; to make the download time bearable, there are several pages (arranged by date). In addition, the images shown on the pages are 'thumbnails' which are clickable and will open a new window with a larger image. If this does not work, click on the gray square underneath the image to open a new browser window with the larger image.

Click the image opposite any day for details and pictures for that day.
