Glacier Bay National Park - picked up a ranger at Bartlett Cove at 6:00 AM. Proceed north into the bay, and were soon near South Marble Island, where we saw Sea Otters, Stellar Sea Lions, Tufted Puffins, and numerous other birds. From there, the course took us by Sandy Cove, past Russell Island and several large cruise ships, ending up in the north end of the west fork of Glacier Bay, viewing Grand Pacific Glacier (which originates in Canada) and Margerie Glacier, which calved, dropping a huge mass of ice into the water making waves strong enough to rock the ship.
