We are about halfway up Cayuga Lake on the western side. The bird appeared in the back yard around breakfast time, and stayed around for more than 30 minutes, after which he flew off to the SW and hasn't been seen since.
I apologize for the tiny pictures. I used maximum zoom, but the camera with a real
telephoto lens was unavailable (and uses film, the images would not have
been available on a timely basis).
