I'm named after Matinicus Island which is in Penobscot Bay; my people selected my name after they adopted me. My father's name was LL Bean. They say that they chose me from a number of kittens because I kept wrapping myself around their legs. They didn't realize that I chose them. As I grew up, I was often rambunctious. At times I was called "Hypercat" or "The Thundering Herd of One". My people and I moved to the Finger Lakes area from the Hudson Valley more than nine years ago. We like it here very much. At home.
